AUTUMN KING

The "Autumn King" carrot variety is a mid-season variety with a period from sowing to harvest of about 110-115 days. The root crops have a spindle shape with a blunt end, measuring 20 to 25 cm in length and weighing 150 to 250 g. The pulp is dense, juicy, and has a rich orange color, as well as a high content of sugars and vitamins, which gives the carrot an excellent taste and makes it suitable for fresh consumption, processing, and long-term storage.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow carrots in loamy and sandy loam soils, ensuring uniform moisture throughout the entire growing period to avoid cracking of the root crops. Sowing is carried out at the end of April at a depth of 3-4 cm with a row spacing of 18-20 cm. After seedlings appear, two thinnings are carried out, leaving 5-6 cm between plants. Care includes regular weeding, loosening, and watering. Winter sowing is also possible at temperatures around 5°C with mulching the surface with peat.

The "Autumn King" carrot is characterized by high yield and is suitable for mechanical processing. It does not overwinter in the open ground, so the root crops are harvested at the end of September. This variety is well suited for cultivation after potatoes, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and legumes, which contributes to obtaining a high-quality and abundant harvest.
