Nominator F1 carrot is an early Nantes-type hybrid developed by the seed company Bejo Zaden. This variety features a short growing period — from planting to harvest, it takes only 95-98 days, allowing for an early harvest. The roots are cylindrical, elongated, with blunt ends, reaching up to 22-23 cm in length and about 3 cm in diameter, weighing 80-150 grams. The skin and core are uniformly colored in a bright orange hue without green edges, the surface is smooth and even, free of defects, bumps, or cracks. The roots are highly nutritious, containing up to 20-22 mg of carotene and about 9% sugar, giving them a sweet and juicy taste. Due to the absence of fiber and rich color, this carrot is ideal for fresh consumption, processing, and juice production. The Nominator F1 hybrid is resistant to cracking and viral diseases of the leafy tops, enabling mechanized harvesting and good storage of the product. The variety does not bolt and tolerates dense planting — up to 1.4 million seeds per hectare. To achieve maximum yield, which can reach 50-60 tons per hectare, it is recommended to grow this carrot on sandy loam, moist, well-drained soils, following crop rotation and proper application of phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. It is important to avoid weed infestation, overwatering, and soil drying, and to thin plants if necessary. Nominator F1 carrot is versatile in use: it is suitable for commercial cultivation as well as for home gardens across Ukraine. This hybrid is intended for fresh market sales, processing, and household use. Due to its flavor and high nutritional value, the carrot is well-suited for any culinary thermal processing and canning. The harvest is recommended for consumption or processing immediately after collection to preserve all beneficial properties and freshness of the product.
