Description Granada
The Basil variety Granada is a compact herbaceous plant with rich purple, smooth leaves adorned with rare large serrations along the edges. The bush reaches a height of up to 35 centimeters and is distinguished by a pleasant, original aroma and taste, making it an excellent addition to various dishes, dressings, and marinades. The leaves and stems of the basil are used both fresh and dried as a spice and flavoring.

Growing Basil Granada is possible both in open ground and in home conditions on a windowsill. For successful growth, seeds are sown at the end of March – beginning of April to a depth of about 1.5 cm with a distance of 7-10 cm between plants. After seedlings appear and reach a height of about 5 cm, it is necessary to regularly loosen the soil every 2-3 days to ensure air access to the roots. The plant requires moderate watering, preferably in the morning, avoiding over-wetting, which is especially important for maintaining the health and aroma of the basil.

Optimal conditions for growing the Granada variety include a temperature of about 25 °C and placement on a sunny side, which contributes to full development and flavor richness. Thanks to its compactness and decorative dark purple leaf color, Basil Granada is ideal for growing in pots and on windowsills, allowing you to enjoy fresh herbs at home year-round.
