Baderny Basil is a heat-loving aromatic herb with quadrangular stems reaching heights of 30 to 60 cm and oblong-ovate green leaves up to 5.5 cm in length. This variety is distinguished by strong branching and requires sunny, wind-protected locations for cultivation. It is propagated exclusively by seeds, which are sown directly into the ground from mid-May at a depth of 1-1.5 cm. Basil can also be grown via seedlings or indoors, for example, on a balcony in a pot. For optimal growth, the plant requires regular loosening, fertilization, and frequent watering. The harvest of Baderny Basil is collected 2-3 times during the growing season, ideally during flowering when the plant accumulates the maximum amount of useful substances. Leaves before flowering are softer and suitable for canning and culinary use, whereas during flowering they become firmer and are often used for preparing medicinal preparations. Leaves and stems are used both fresh and dried, imparting dishes with a rich aroma and flavor. Baderny Basil is widely used in cuisine for preparing various dishes and finds application in the perfume industry due to its rich aroma.
