Basil YURIY FADEEV MEMORIAL BASIL

Genetic Profile and Breeding Significance

The 'Pamyati Yuriya Fadeeva' basil variety is a product of advanced breeding conducted by the All-Russian Research Institute of Phytopathology. The development process, led by Sulukhan Temirbekova, prioritized ecological resilience and the intensification of the plant’s essential oil profile. Unlike standard varieties, this cultivar displays complex genetic expression, resulting in a distinct visual and aromatic signature.

Technical Specifications and Morphology

• Foliage Color: A heterogeneous mix of deep green and purple hues, reflecting a high concentration of anthocyanins.
• Aromatic Profile: A pronounced, stable clove scent that withstands thermal processing, making it highly valuable for commercial culinary applications.
• Yield Capacity: Consistent output ranging between 1.0 and 1.5 kg/m², which is a robust indicator for both open-field and greenhouse cultivation.

Operational Utility

From a production standpoint, this variety is engineered to yield high-quality biomass with a superior concentration of aromatic compounds. The clove-dominant scent profile differentiates it significantly from standard anise- or pepper-flavored cultivars. The variety's high adaptability to environmental stressors, a primary outcome of the breeding program, ensures consistent crop output. This makes 'Pamyati Yuriya Fadeeva' a reliable choice for commercial fresh herb producers and serious cultivators prioritizing specific organoleptic qualities.
