Basil ROBIN BOBIN

A Bold Culinary Staple with Deep Violet Foliage

The «Robin Bobin» basil variety from Gavrish is designed for those who value both aesthetic appeal and culinary intensity. With its deep violet, large leaves and robust spicy aroma, this variety stands out in any garden bed, providing a consistent source of fresh herbs for diverse applications.

Cultivation and Plant Characteristics

Reaching a height of 40–50 cm, the plant is well-suited for both open-field cultivation and greenhouse production. Its large, lush leaves ensure high yields, making it an efficient choice for farmers and home gardeners alike. The variety is highly adaptable, allowing for staggered planting schedules to ensure a steady supply of fresh herbs throughout the growing season.

Practical Scenarios for Farm and Kitchen

• Culinary Versatility: The rich, spicy flavor profile makes it an essential ingredient for salads, meat dishes, and traditional sauces like pesto. The large leaf size simplifies prep work for commercial kitchens and home processing.
• Preservation: The leaves hold their sensory qualities well during drying and freezing, making «Robin Bobin» an ideal candidate for winter stock and homemade marinades.
• Commercial Growing: Its structural stability and reliable vegetative growth make it a preferred choice for small farms supplying fresh produce to the HoReCa sector.

For best results, it is recommended to start with seedlings to secure an early harvest or direct sow once all danger of frost has passed. Given the plant's height and dense foliage, proper spacing is crucial to ensure adequate air circulation, which helps prevent fungal diseases and maintains leaf health.
