Description Edwina
Edwina Basil is a mid-season and fast-growing green basil variety developed by the Dutch seed company Enza Zaden. It is designed for cultivation in open ground as well as in greenhouses, tunnels, and pots throughout the year. The variety demonstrates high resistance to most diseases and leaf margin burn, making it a reliable choice for various growing conditions.

Edwina tolerates low light well, allowing it to be grown even in partial shade while maintaining high plant uniformity and stable yield. The maturation period is 65-70 days, with yields reaching about 3 kg per square meter. Successful basil cultivation requires quality soil, regular watering, weeding, and loosening, as well as adherence to optimal agronomic parameters, such as a sowing rate of 0.3 g per 1 m², row spacing of 25 cm, and seed sowing depth of 2 cm.

This basil variety is distinguished by its excellent taste and rich pepper aroma, making it ideal for use fresh, in canning, processing, and cooking. Thanks to its characteristics, Edwina is suitable for both commercial cultivation for the fresh produce market and home gardening, providing a stable and quality yield throughout the year.
