VOSTORG

Basil of the VOSTORG variety is a medium-maturing plant with a maturation period of 35 to 45 days. The bushes are of medium height, compact, about 35-40 cm tall, with small, smooth leaves of olive-green color. The mass of one plant ranges from 185 to 250 grams, and the yield of greens reaches 1.4-1.5 kg per square meter. The variety is distinguished by good foliage coverage and an attractive appearance due to the presence of anthocyanin.

The main feature of the variety is its pronounced anise aroma and pleasant taste, which makes it popular for use in cooking. VOSTORG is widely used in preparing salads, sauces, dressings, as well as as a seasoning for meat and fish dishes. In addition, basil has tonic properties and promotes improved digestion, which is valued in folk medicine.

Growing VOSTORG basil is recommended by seedling method with sowing seeds at the end of March – beginning of April and subsequent transplanting of seedlings into open ground in May or early June. The optimal planting scheme is 30x30 cm. The plant prefers well-structured, humus-rich soils and requires regular watering to ensure a high yield and maintain aromatic qualities.
