Basil EREVAN SAPPHIRE BASIL

A Spicy Classic with a Caucasian Accent

The 'Erevanskiy Sapphire' variety from the Gavrish breeding firm is a choice for those who value basil not only for its decorative properties but also for a deep, expressive aroma profile. Developed under the leadership of Sergey Fedorovich Gavrish, this variety has become the embodiment of classic purple basil, remaining a standard in culinary gardens for decades.

Character and Organoleptics

The main feature of 'Erevanskiy Sapphire' is its intense flavor palette. Unlike many green varieties, this basil possesses a pronounced clove-like aroma. Large, deep purple leaves do more than just decorate a garden bed or windowsill; they concentrate the essential oils that provide that specific spicy, tart taste, which has become the trademark of Caucasian cuisine.

• Culture Type: Varietal basil, distinguished by stability of characteristics from generation to generation.
• Appearance: Large, dark purple leaves that create a striking contrast in flower beds and vegetable patches.
• Usage: An ideal seasoning for meat dishes, homemade sauces, marinades, and fresh vegetable salads.

This variety shows excellent adaptability to climatic conditions, making it highly predictable in cultivation. To maximize the yield of greens, it is recommended to plant it in well-lit areas with fertile soil. The clove notes become most pronounced with sufficient sunlight, which is critical for forming high-quality marketable produce.

By choosing 'Erevanskiy Sapphire' from Gavrish, you are acquiring proven breeding material that is perfectly suited for both home gardening and the needs of small-scale farms specializing in the production of aromatic herbs.
