Tennodur

Wheat variety Tennodur is a medium-maturing, awnless type developed by the Czech company Selgen a.s. This variety is characterized by high protein content (about 11%) and gluten (18%), providing excellent milling and baking qualities. Plant height is 90-100 cm, and 1000-grain weight is 53-55 g. Tennodur has medium tillering and lodging resistance, which contributes to stable yield formation.

The variety shows high resistance to various diseases, including septoria, Fusarium head blight, root rots, and leaf diseases. Additionally, it is resistant to stem breakage, enhancing its reliability under different climatic conditions. Tennodur is winter-hardy and suitable for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and forested regions, as well as in southern Ukraine. Thanks to its rapid early growth, the variety adapts well to late sowing, allowing its use after predecessors such as maize and sugar beet.

Recommended seeding rates vary depending on sowing time: for early sowing — about 3.5 million seeds per hectare, for medium — 4 million, for late — up to 4.5 million. The potential yield of this variety may reach 100 c/ha, making Tennodur an attractive choice for farmers seeking high-quality and stable wheat yields.
