Wheat Revolver

Genetic Potential and Phytosanitary Resilience

The winter wheat variety «Revolver» from the Danish breeding company Sejet Planteforaedling I,S is an intensive variety engineered for high, stable yields in temperate climates. Its primary advantage lies in its comprehensive genetic resistance to both foliar and systemic pathogens, allowing growers to optimize fungicide application strategies without compromising field health.

Disease Defense Profile

The breeding focus at Sejet has been on developing a robust genotype that addresses key cereal crop threats. «Revolver» provides a strong defense mechanism against a range of pathogens:

• Root Health: Superior resistance to root rots ensures the integrity of the vascular system, enabling consistent nutrient transport to the head throughout the growing season.
• Foliar Disease Resistance: The variety exhibits strong resilience against Septoria, Mycosphaerella leaf blotch, and brown spot, ensuring the photosynthetic leaf area remains active for grain filling.
• Head Blight Management: Genetic resistance to Fusarium head blight is a critical asset, significantly reducing the risk of mycotoxin accumulation in the harvest.
• Powdery Mildew: The plant's built-in defense against powdery mildew protects the integrity of the vegetative mass during the critical growth stages.

Agronomic Design and Standability

The stem architecture of «Revolver» is optimized for intensive agricultural environments. Its good lodging resistance is a direct result of specialized straw anatomy, which allows the plant to support heavy, productive heads and sustain high nutrient inputs. This structural integrity provides predictability in the field, enabling agronomists to maintain high planting densities and plan operations with confidence, even under challenging weather conditions during the maturation phase.
