Winter wheat variety RGT PROVISION (Reform) is a high-yielding, medium-late, strawless, intensive-type variety developed by the French company RAGT Semences and adapted for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine. This variety is characterized by low stature (plant height 70-80 cm), strong stems, and high winter hardiness, ensuring reliable winter survival and resistance to lodging. The thousand-grain weight is 49-51 g, and the protein and gluten content reach 11% and 18% respectively, positively affecting grain quality.
RGT PROVISION exhibits high resistance to major diseases and stresses: tolerant to root rots, powdery mildew, septoria, and Fusarium head blight, and demonstrates high resistance to stem breakage, shattering, and lodging. These characteristics make it a reliable choice for intensive cultivation technologies. Average yields vary from 7.1 to 10.8 t/ha across different regions, with a potential maximum of 11-13 t/ha under adequate moisture and proper agronomic practices.
The optimal sowing period for RGT PROVISION is from October 10 to 15, with seeding rates depending on timing: 3.5 million seeds per hectare for early sowing and 4.7 million for late sowing. The variety adapts well to different sowing dates and soil conditions, showing high plasticity and compensatory abilities. Recommended for cultivation in regions with moderate and sufficient moisture, such as Central, Northern, and Western Ukraine, where it consistently delivers high yields and grain quality.
