Bright

The Bright wheat variety is an early and high-yielding hybrid developed by individual selection from the third generation of hybrid combinations. It belongs to the erythrospermum type and features a semi-erect plant with a strong stem and glossy bright green leaves. The ear is cylindrical, 8–9 cm long, with large, oval-shaped, red grains. Plant height ranges from 60 to 80 cm, and thousand-grain weight varies between 42–45 grams.

Bright wheat exhibits high resistance to lodging, frost tolerance, and tolerance to a range of diseases including powdery mildew, septoria, and fusarium. The vegetation period lasts 80–85 days, classifying it as early or mid-early depending on growing conditions. The grain has high quality with about 25% gluten content, ensuring excellent baking properties. The recommended seeding rate is 4.5–5.0 million seeds per hectare.

This wheat variety demonstrates high and stable yields, reaching 55–65 centners per hectare, and in some cases up to 9.75 tons per hectare. It is ideally suited for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine, where it shows superior winter hardiness and adaptation to climatic conditions.
