Wheat Tenor

Field Performance: Insights on 'Tenor' Wheat

With a plant height of 90-100 cm, it shows excellent resistance to lodging, even under harsh weather conditions. This makes harvesting significantly easier, as the combine operates smoothly without the issues associated with lodged crops.

Disease Resistance and Farm Economics

One of the strongest attributes of 'Tenor' is its genetic profile regarding health. In years with high disease pressure, this variety demonstrates high resistance to:

• Various types of leaf rust;
• Powdery mildew;
• Leaf spots, including Rhynchosporium and Mycosphaerella;
• Viral diseases, including barley yellow dwarf virus.

Yield and Grain Quality

The grain quality of 'Tenor' is consistently high. With a thousand-grain weight (TGW) of 50-55 grams, the kernels are well-filled and heavy. The variety has a yield potential of 9-10 tons per hectare, which is quite achievable with proper agronomic management. From an operator's perspective, this is a variety that responds well to inputs and produces a clean, consistent crop that is easy to manage during harvest and storage. If you prioritize reliability and a high output, 'Tenor' is a solid investment for your fields.
