Soft winter wheat of the Skarbnya variety is a medium-early grain wheat variety developed by Russian breeders from the Stavropol Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture. The vegetation period ranges from 229 to 276 days, which allows for effective use of the variety in regions with a moderate climate. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Stavropol Krai and the North Caucasus region, where it demonstrates a stable yield at the level of 39.3–49.2 centners per hectare. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 33 to 47 grams, indicating good grain quality and its suitability for the food industry.

Skarbnya possesses high resistance to unfavorable climatic conditions and diseases. Winter hardiness is rated at 5 points, resistance to lodging and shattering is also rated at 5 points, and drought resistance is rated at 4.5 points, ensuring reliable cultivation even in complex weather conditions. These characteristics make the variety attractive for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality harvest.

The technological and baking properties of Skarbnya wheat are at a high level. Raw gluten content reaches 30.4%, and protein content in the grain is 13.1%, ensuring good milling and baking value. The volume of bread from flour of this variety is about 1050 ml, and the overall assessment of baking qualities is 4 points, corresponding to the level of a good filler. Thanks to these indicators, the variety is widely used in the food industry for producing high-quality flour and bakery products.
