Magistral

The winter soft wheat variety Magistral is a fifth-generation selection and is characterized by high productivity and resistance. It was developed through individual selection from a population obtained by crossing the varieties Shestopalivka and Borovinka-1, and belongs to the erythrospermum variety. The vegetation period of the variety is 265-275 days, the wintering period is 19 days, during which heading and ripening occur early. The ear is large and long (12-14 cm), medium density, and a strong root system and sturdy, thick hollow stem ensure the plant's resistance to adverse conditions.

The main advantage of the Magistral variety is its ability to accelerate development and biomass accumulation when sown late, allowing for the extension of the permissible sowing period. The variety demonstrates high resistance to drought, heat tolerance, and cold resistance are increased. In addition, it has increased resistance to lodging, shattering, and seed germination on the root, which significantly reduces yield losses.

Magistral is characterized by comprehensive resistance to all existing diseases of winter wheat, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The average yield of the variety in variety trials is 84.8 c/ha. In addition, the variety is capable of forming high-quality grain with increased gluten and protein content, which is an important advantage for bread production.
