Arkeos

Arkeos — mid-early, high-yielding winter wheat variety intended for confectionery purposes and classified as type C. Developed in France, it is ideally suited for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions. Recommended sowing dates are optimal and late, with a seeding rate of 3.0 to 4.5 million seeds per hectare. Seeds are packed in 25 kg bags.

Arkeos is characterized by high winter hardiness, resistance to lodging and drought, as well as strong tillering ability. The variety features a well-developed root system, contributing to its resilience and productivity. The average thousand-grain weight is medium, and stem length is 80–85 cm. The grain yield type is compensatory, ensuring stable and high grain output.

Quality characteristics of the variety include high falling number and high grain purity, while the protein content in the grain is low. The endosperm has a very soft structure, making this wheat particularly valuable for confectionery production. Due to these features, Arkeos is a reliable choice for farmers targeting high-quality grain for specialized purposes.
