Wheat Prozoriy

Optimized Wheat Production with Prozoriy Variety

The «Prozoriy» wheat variety, developed by the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute (National Center for Seed and Cultivar Research), is engineered for high-performance farming environments. With a growing season of 90–100 days, this variety is highly responsive to nitrogen management and intensive cultivation practices, enabling farmers to reach yields of 6–7 tons per hectare.

Field-Proven Disease Resistance

Practical application of the «Prozoriy» variety offers a significant advantage in crop protection. The inherent genetic resistance to major pathogens reduces reliance on extensive fungicide spray programs, which is crucial for cost-efficient farm management. The variety shows robust resistance against:

• Brown rust and stem rust;
• Fusarium head blight;
• Powdery mildew;
• Septoria and various root rots;
• Mycosphaerella leaf spot and brown spot.

This resistance profile makes it a reliable choice for regions prone to fungal outbreaks, particularly during the grain-filling stage, ensuring the integrity and quality of the harvest.

Agronomic Efficiency and Harvesting

Designed with modern farming logistics in mind, the plant reaches a height of 90–100 cm, which ensures excellent stalk strength and minimal lodging, allowing for efficient mechanized harvesting. With a thousand-grain weight of 40–45 grams, «Prozoriy» demonstrates high germination energy. This ensures a consistent plant density and uniform emergence, which are the prerequisites for reaching the 7-ton-per-hectare yield potential under optimal field conditions.
