Tavrida

Winter wheat seeds of the Tavrida variety are a high-yielding and adaptable variety developed in Ukraine. It is recommended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones, demonstrating stability and high productivity with an average yield of about 77 c/ha. Tavrida belongs to the short-stemmed type with plant height of 85-95 cm, possesses high resistance to lodging and good drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.

The growing period of the variety is 288-293 days, it is medium-early, with frost- and cold resistance at the medium and above-medium level (6-7 points). The variety also exhibits high resistance to common diseases (8-9 points), which helps maintain yield and reduce losses. Tavrida shows high resistance to lodging and medium resistance to root germination, which improves grain quality and retention during harvest.

The grain quality of the Tavrida variety meets the requirements of the highest standard: thousand-grain weight ranges from 44.8-47.1 g, test weight — 795-825 g/l, protein content varies from 13.1 to 14.9%, and gluten content — from 28.5 to 33.2%. These indicators ensure high-quality pasta products, rated 4.0-4.5 points. To achieve maximum yield, sowing is recommended in optimal periods — from September 20 to 25 in the Steppe and from September 15 to 20 in southern areas of the Forest-Steppe, with a seeding rate of approximately 5.0 million seeds per hectare and sowing depth of 4-6 cm.
