Wheat Golden Seedling

A Reliable Choice for Intensive Farming

Winter wheat "Zolotonoshka," developed by the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics of the NAS of Ukraine, is designed for agricultural enterprises focused on intensive cultivation technologies. The variety is capable of reaching a yield potential of 8–9 tons per hectare, provided that a density of 4.5–5.0 million productive stems per hectare is maintained. It is a high-performance solution for farms that prioritize quality nutrition and systematic crop protection.

Field Performance and Disease Resistance

The primary practical advantage of "Zolotonoshka" is its robust genetic resistance to key pathogens that typically impact wheat yields. This characteristic allows agronomists to optimize fungicide applications, reducing the risks and costs associated with intensive chemical control:

• Pathogen Defense: The variety shows high resistance to powdery mildew, brown spotting, and fusarium.
• Stress Tolerance: Its resistance to brown rust, septoria, and root rot makes it highly effective in fields where the crop rotation or infectious background requires stronger biological protection.
• Reliability: It offers protection against mycospherella blight, ensuring stability even under variable climate conditions.

Agronomy and Morphological Traits

With a plant height of 80–90 cm, "Zolotonoshka" features a sturdy stem, minimizing lodging risks even under intensive nitrogen fertilization. The large grain size (1000-seed weight of 40–45 grams) ensures high germination energy and vigorous stand establishment in autumn, which is critical for maximizing resource utilization in the spring.

This variety performs best on high-fertility soils. It responds exceptionally well to split nitrogen applications, allowing growers to unlock its full potential while maintaining consistent grain quality across the entire production area.
