Wheat Nebokray

Stable Yields in Challenging Climates

The «Nebokrai» wheat variety is a product of extensive breeding efforts by Ukrainian researchers, aimed at balancing high productivity with strong tolerance to major phytopathogens. Developed by a team of experts from the Institute of Agriculture of the NAAS and the Plant Breeding and Genetic Institute, this variety is designed for farmers who prioritize predictable yields without excessive fungicide reliance.

Biological Potential and Morphology

«Nebokrai» exhibits classic intensive-type traits backed by a robust "biological shield." With a plant height of 90–100 cm, it efficiently allocates resources, achieving yields of 8–9 tons per hectare. A productive tillering capacity of 4.0–4.5 million stems per hectare ensures a dense crop stand that successfully outcompetes weeds during early growth stages.

• Phytosanitary Resilience: The variety shows high resistance to yellow and brown rust, septoria, and root rot, making it an excellent choice for regions with high infection pressure.
• Defense Barrier: The genetic defense covers a wide spectrum of threats, including Mycosphaerella leaf spot, fusarium, and powdery mildew.

Who should choose «Nebokrai»?

This variety is a reliable workhorse for farmers in temperate climate zones. Its winter hardiness, rated at 5 points, necessitates precise sowing timing—the variety performs at its best when strict agrotechnical protocols are followed. The thousand-grain weight of 35–40 grams is optimal for high-quality seeds, ensuring uniform emergence.

If your strategy involves minimizing crop infection risks while maintaining high tonnage, «Nebokrai» is a dependable asset for your crop rotation.
