The soft wheat variety "Clarissa," distributed by NPF Driada, represents a successful outcome of international scientific collaboration between Ukrainian experts and the Poljoprivredni Institut Osijek (Croatia). By combining European genetic foundations with the local knowledge of breeders like Valerii and Halyna Bazalii, this variety was specifically tailored to perform under varied agricultural conditions.

Key Agronomic Traits and Yield Potential

"Clarissa" is recognized for its adaptive growth cycle, ranging from 90 to 110 days, allowing for flexibility in planting schedules. The variety is highly suitable for intensive farming practices, standing at a compact height of 70–90 cm with excellent lodging resistance. Growers targeting high-input, high-yield results can expect a potential output of 7–9 tonnes per hectare, making it a competitive choice for modern grain production.

Resistance and Crop Protection

A core strength of the Clarissa variety is its robust genetic resistance to environmental stressors and biotic threats. It provides farmers with a reliable defense against several critical challenges:
