Wheat PS Emir

Focus on Stability and Growth

When working with winter wheat varieties from the Breeding Center "Yarovyt," you quickly realize that the genetics are focused on maximizing efficiency. PS Emir is a "dwarf" variety of soft wheat. Standing at only 40–50 cm, it might look unusual, but its low stature is its greatest asset. This structure guarantees exceptional resistance to lodging. Even with heavy nitrogen application, the crop remains upright, ensuring uniform maturity and minimal losses during the harvest.

Built for Harsh Winters and Disease Resistance

Winter survival is the ultimate test, and with a 9/9 winter hardiness rating, PS Emir handles extreme temperatures without breaking a sweat. In the spring, it shows vigorous regrowth, which is exactly what a farmer wants to see after a tough season. Furthermore, the variety is highly resistant to both yellow and brown rust. Avoiding these common fungal threats means less pressure on your crop protection budget and healthier, more reliable yields.

Yield Potential and Economics

With a yield potential of 9–10 tons per hectare, PS Emir responds exceptionally well to intensive management practices. Its awnless (beardless) head makes the harvesting process smooth and stress-free for your equipment. If you are looking for a reliable, high-yield variety that doesn't sacrifice grain quality for biomass, this is an excellent choice. It balances the heavy tonnage with superior plant health, making the cost-per-ton very attractive.
