Mironovska 28 is a soft winter wheat variety developed for high grain quality and adapted to various agroclimatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 80–100 cm, have upright medium-length spikes with white coloration and awns. The grain is red, medium-sized, oval-shaped, with a 100-grain weight of about 43 g and test weight ranging from 764 to 821 g/l. The vegetation period is 85–95 days, making it a medium-maturing variety suitable for cultivation in the Forest Steppe and Polissia regions. The variety exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including powdery mildew, rust, leaf septoria, fusarium, root rots, and brown rust. Additionally, Mironovska 28 has good winter hardiness, drought resistance, and lodging resistance due to its sturdy medium-thickness stem. These characteristics ensure stable yields that can reach 4.5–10 t/ha depending on growing conditions and agronomic practices. The grain has high levels of crude protein (14–16.9 %) and crude gluten (26.2–30 %), ensuring excellent baking properties. Dough strength varies from 284 to 368 arbitrary units, and loaf volume can reach 720 cm³. Mironovska 28 is widely used for producing bakery products and pasta. The recommended seeding rate is 4.5–5.5 million germinating seeds per hectare, with planting depth of 3–5 cm. For optimal growth, apply phosphorus-potassium fertilizers at sowing and nitrogen fertilizers in multiple applications, as well as seed treatment and pest control.
