Mironivska ostista

Mironovska ostista — this is an intensive-type wheat variety intended for cultivation using intensive technology with high mineral nutrition and timely protection against diseases, pests, and weeds. The variety is characterized by good tillering, allowing seeding rates not exceeding 4.0–5.5 million seeds per hectare depending on sowing time and agro-climatic conditions. The recommended seeding depth is 3–5 cm, and preceding crops may include leguminous crops, perennial grasses, and corn for silage.

Botanically, Mironovska ostista is a soft spring wheat with plant height ranging from 80 to 100 cm and erect, medium-length, white awned spikes. The medium-sized red grain exhibits high quality, with protein content of 12.7–15% and gluten content of 28–32.7%. The variety shows high resistance to lodging, powdery mildew, septoria, brown leaf rust, and moderate drought resistance.
