The Triso winter wheat variety is a high-yielding German intensive-type variety developed by DEUTSCHE SAATVEREDELUNG AG (DSV). It belongs to the lutescent group and features intermediate plant habit with height of about 88 cm and pyramidal white ears without awns. Grain is colored, and straw is covered with moderate to strong waxy coating. Maturation period is 85-90 days, allowing the variety to be used for ultra-early sowing, reducing drought risks and promoting a more developed root system and leaf area. This contributes to maximizing photosynthesis and brings yield close to that of winter varieties. Triso is distinguished by high yield potential: it exceeds 90 ц/ha, with average yields in Ukraine ranging from 45-60 ц/ha, and maximum yields reaching 70 ц/ha. Recommended cultivation technology includes intensive methods with fertilizers and plant protection products, including seed treatment and fungicide applications. Sowing rate varies depending on sowing dates: 4 500 000 seeds per hectare for early sowing, 5 500 000 seeds per hectare for later sowing, corresponding to 500-600 productive ears per square meter. The variety exhibits excellent resistance to major diseases and stress factors. Drought resistance is rated 5 out of 5, resistance to lodging, powdery mildew, and leaf septoria — 4 out of 5, and to ear septoria — maximum 5 out of 5. Additionally, it has moderate resistance to pyrenophorosis, brown rust, and fusarium ear blight (3 out of 5). Thanks to these characteristics, Triso is suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, ensuring stable quality and high yield when recommended agronomic practices are followed.
