Maize EU4246

Stable grain yields with Monsanto dent corn

Selecting seeds for grain production requires precise planning, where the hybrid's response to plant density becomes the defining factor. Monsanto EYu4246 is a tool designed for growers aiming to maximize productivity potential in both intensive and moderate cultivation systems.

Adaptability to sowing density

The core advantage of EYu4246 is its wide range of recommended densities: from 50,000 to 85,000 plants per hectare. This flexibility allows farms to fine-tune their strategy based on local conditions and moisture availability:

• In low-moisture conditions or on less fertile soils, 50,000–60,000 plants/ha help minimize plant competition.
• In high-yield environments with irrigation or abundant rainfall, increasing density to 75,000–85,000 plants/ha ensures maximum grain return per hectare.

The dent kernel type provides high efficiency during post-harvest processing. This kernel shape is optimal for rapid drying, which significantly lowers energy costs for the agribusiness when bringing the crop to standard storage moisture. This hybrid is developed specifically for grain usage, making it the primary choice for operations with robust storage and processing logistics.

Incorporating Monsanto EYu4246 into crop rotations is a sound decision for farms where corn is a major crop, as the hybrid responds predictably to standard agronomic practices. It enables precise harvest planning by ensuring uniform ear maturation.
