MARQUIS is a soft winter wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.) intended for producing high-quality grain used in the baking industry. The variety is characterized by a medium-to-late maturity period with a vegetative period ranging from 217 to 278 days and medium plant height. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 40 to 49 grams, indicating grain density and quality. MARQUIS belongs to the lutescens type and possesses excellent baking qualities, making it in demand for the production of high-quality flour and bread. The variety exhibits good winter hardiness, comparable to the Don 107 variety, as well as drought resistance at the level of the standard. Plants are resistant to lodging, which helps preserve the yield and facilitates harvesting. Additionally, MARQUIS shows resistance to powdery mildew and moderate resistance to brown rust and septoria, enhancing its reliability under various climatic conditions and reducing the need for frequent fungicide application.
