Stan

Stan — a medium-early maturing, high-yielding soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety. It is included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region and is recommended for cultivation in Rostov Oblast, Stavropol Krai, Karachay-Cherkess Republic, as well as in the Western Delta and Southern foothill zones of Krasnodar Krai, the Azov and Southern zones of Rostov Oblast, and Adygea Republic. The variety features large kernels and spikes, with a 1000-kernel weight ranging from 37 to 46 g, and high grain density — approximately 764 g/l. The vegetation period ranges from 218 to 275 days, enabling effective use of the variety under various regional climatic conditions.

The plant is low-growing, with a height of 74 to 96 cm, featuring a semi-erect bush and resistance to lodging, which enhances yield stability. The variety demonstrates good winter hardiness, meeting the Bатько standard, and drought resistance comparable to standard varieties. It is resistant to brown rust, powdery mildew, and septoria leaf blotch, reducing yield losses and the need for frequent fungicide applications. The level of powdery mildew infection is approximately 1%, brown rust — up to 20%, and septoria leaf blotch — around 15%.

The grain quality of the Stan variety is high: total vitreousness reaches 94%, crude protein content — 16.9%, crude gluten — 30.0%, ensuring excellent baking properties. The variety is classified as intensive and suitable for cultivation using intensive technologies with early sowing and a seeding rate of 5.5–6.0 million seeds per hectare, sown at a depth of 3–5 cm. The maximum yield in the region reaches 109.8 c/ha, making this variety attractive for agricultural producers focused on obtaining high-quality wheat yields.
