Description GUBERIYA
Soft winter wheat of the Guberiya variety is a medium-early, low-growing variety created at the Southern East Agricultural Research Institute. The lineage of the variety includes lines Ulyanovka 3 and Ilyichevka, and the botanical variety belongs to lutescens. The ear is white, unpubescent with short awl-like appendages at the top, and the grain is red in color. The vegetation period is 223 to 270 days, which allows for successful cultivation in the South-Foothill zone of Krasnodar Krai and Stavropol Krai. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, resistance to spring frosts, and relatively high drought resistance. Guberiya is characterized by high yield, reaching 45-55 centners per hectare under production conditions, and the mass of 1000 grains varies from 36 to 50 grams. The variety is resistant to lodging and has good resistance to brown rust, but is susceptible to yellow rust, septoria, and powdery mildew. High protein content (up to 13%) and gluten (up to 33%) in the grain provide excellent baking qualities, which makes this variety in demand for the production of flour, bread, and other food products. Due to its agronomic and technological characteristics, Guberiya wheat is recommended for cultivation in the agronomic conditions of the Southern region of Russia.
