Soft winter wheat Duplet is a mid-season and mid-height variety intended for obtaining high-quality grain used in the baking industry. The plants stand 95-100 cm tall; the variety is resistant to lodging and shattering, which helps preserve the harvest. Duplet is distinguished by its high grain productivity potential, exceeding 100 centners per hectare, making it attractive for agricultural production.
The variety has high resistance to a range of diseases, including septoria, brown and yellow rust, and powdery mildew. At the same time, it exhibits medium resistance to stem rust and susceptibility to Fusarium head blight and common bunt. Thanks to its high drought and frost tolerance, Duplet is well-adapted to various climatic conditions, expanding the possibilities for its cultivation.
The variety is recommended for cultivation on high and medium agro-ecological backgrounds, especially after ploughed predecessors. Duplet is successfully cultivated in the Northern, Central, and Southern foothill zones of Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Adygea, Stavropol Krai, as well as in the Pre-Azov and Southern zones of Rostov Oblast. Its grain is used not only for bread production but also for making flour and other food products, confirming the universality and high quality of this variety.
