LILITH

LILITH is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) with an intermediate-early maturation period and a vegetative period ranging from 221 to 296 days. The plants are medium-tall, standing from 72 to 99 cm high, with a 1000-kernel weight within 39-47 g. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, exceeding the average level and comparable with varieties Don 107 and Don 93. Moreover, LILITH is resistant to lodging, which aids in crop preservation under adverse weather conditions. LILITH possesses excellent baking qualities, making it in demand for flour and bakery product production. It is also used for making cereal and other food products. Wheat demonstrates moderate resistance to powdery mildew and moderate susceptibility to brown rust. Under field conditions, Septoria infection was weak, and Fusarium head blight was moderate, which corresponds to the standards of varieties Don 107 and Aivina. LILITH was bred at FGBNU 'Agricultural Scientific Center 'Don' and included in the state register since 2016. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Volgograd region and the Northwestern zone of the Rostov region, and is suitable for growing in various climatic conditions. Thanks to its adaptability, high yield, and disease resistance, LILITH is a reliable choice for agricultural producers seeking to obtain a quality and stable yield of soft winter wheat.
