Maize M 51

Stable yields with an early harvest

The M 51 sweet corn hybrid, developed by the Russian breeder RAT, is a balanced solution for farmers who prioritize predictable results and versatile marketability. Whether intended for fresh market sales or the processing sector, this hybrid is designed to perform efficiently. Its key advantage lies in its early maturity, allowing producers to bring their harvest to market ahead of the competition and capture early-season price premiums.

Technical features and application

M 51 is characterized by vibrant, bright yellow kernels that maintain an attractive appearance after harvesting. The hybrid demonstrates high versatility: it is perfectly suited for fresh consumption, as well as industrial processing such as canning or freezing. Furthermore, a portion of the crop can be effectively utilized as high-quality forage, making this hybrid a logical, multi-purpose choice for diverse agricultural operations.

Why choose M 51?

• Economic efficiency: The recommended planting density of 30,000–40,000 seeds per hectare helps optimize seed costs without compromising overall output.
• Versatility: Thanks to its excellent taste profile, the variety is highly sought after by retail chains.
• Early maturity: Reduces the risks associated with adverse weather conditions toward the end of the season.

M 51 is an excellent choice for those who value the combination of proven genetics and reliable production technology. While it requires adherence to standard agronomic practices, it rewards producers with a stable harvest and superior consumer quality.
