The 'STEP' soft winter wheat variety is a mid-early, high-yielding variety designed for producing high-quality grain, particularly valued for bakery products. Plants of this variety are characterized by a medium height of about 94 cm and a vegetation period of 225 to 279 days. The variety is distinguished by good baking qualities of the grain and a high yield potential, reaching about 110 c/ha at a sowing rate of 3.5-4 million viable seeds per hectare.

'STEP' is recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region of Russia and has been included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements since 2018. It possesses high drought resistance and above-average frost resistance, making it adapted to the complex climatic conditions of the region.
