Wheat Krasunya Polissia

Crop Stability on Challenging Soils

When working with the winter wheat variety 'Krasavitsa Polesskaya' (Polissya Beauty), agronomists note its remarkable predictability. Developed by the NSC 'Institute of Agriculture of NAAS', this variety is designed for those who aim to minimize crop loss risks caused by climatic fluctuations and diseases. The focus here is on stem strength and comprehensive immunity, which significantly simplifies the vegetation process.

Operational Advantages

• Zero Lodging: Thanks to its exceptional resistance to lodging, machinery moves through the field without issues, and harvesting is never a struggle, even after heavy late-season rainfall. This optimizes fuel consumption and saves time for the combine operator.
• Natural Defensive Barrier: The variety shows innate resistance to Fusarium head blight, Septoria, root rot, and brown rust. In practice, this allows for a reduction in fungicide applications, directly lowering the cost per ton of grain.
• Pest Control: The crop demonstrates a high level of resilience against cereal aphids and wheat thrips. Field monitoring remains standard, but the variety does not require 'emergency' chemical interventions upon the first sight of pests.

If you are looking for a 'workhorse' for the Polissya and Forest-Steppe regions that tolerates minor inconsistencies in treatment schedules and consistently delivers high-quality grain under any conditions, this variety from Ukrainian breeders will prove its value within the first few years of use. Less stress for the agronomist, lower fungicide costs, and maximum confidence in the final yield.
