AFK FULL SPIKE

AFK FULL SPIKE is a medium-early winter wheat variety developed and produced in Ukraine by the agrofirm "Kолос". It is distinguished by high drought resistance, cold tolerance, and resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, leaf rust, and other pathogens. The variety also exhibits high resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to maintaining yield and improving its quality. The grain has a high protein content ranging from 12.1% to 15.5% and raw gluten content from 27.3% to 30.1%, making it attractive for processing and use in the food industry.

To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to follow seeding rates depending on sowing timing: early sowing — 3.0–3.5 million germinating seeds per hectare, optimal — 3.5–4.5 million, late — 4.5–5.0 million. High yield of the variety is achieved through a comprehensive approach to protecting plants from diseases and pests. An important role in this is the application of fungicide-insecticide treatments, which ensure stable crop development throughout the entire growing season.

To protect wheat AFK FULL SPIKE from major diseases such as leaf and head septoria, brown and yellow rust, powdery mildew, fusarium head blight, as well as pests — cereal aphid, stink bug, wheat thrips, and others — it is recommended to use a combination of fungicides and insecticides. Treatments are applied on dry, windless days, combining agents in tank mixtures with adhesives and microfertilizers to enhance efficacy and reduce load on equipment and crops. Regular monitoring of the phytosanitary condition of the field and adherence to pest thresholds allow timely protective measures to be taken and ensure high productivity of the variety.
