Wheat variety Kosovitsia belongs to the medium-early maturing groups and is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. This variety has a high yield potential, reaching from 6.6 to 11.1 tons per hectare, making it attractive for agricultural production. The grain is characterized by high quality: protein content varies from 13.4 to 14.1%, and thousand-grain weight is 42-45 grams, indicating its nutritional value and market appearance.

Kosovitsia is distinguished by resistance to multiple diseases and stress factors, including lodging, shattering, root rot, septoria, fusarium, brown rust, and powdery mildew. Such resistance ensures stable yields and reduces risks of losses under adverse conditions. The recommended seeding rate is 4.5-5.0 million germinating seeds per hectare, which is optimal for achieving maximum productivity. Moreover, the variety shows high resilience to low agro-ecological conditions and allows for deviations in cultivation technology, facilitating its adaptation to various farming conditions.

In addition to traditional agriculture, wheat variety Kosovitsia is used in the food industry, particularly in the production of grain crackers. Studies show that incorporating up to 3% plant components such as hawthorn, ginseng, and sea buckthorn powders into the recipe of crackers made from this wheat variety improves the product's physicochemical properties. However, increasing the proportion of these additives requires higher energy expenditure during production.
