Kosoch

Winter wheat variety Kosoch is an early-maturing, high-yielding variety recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone. Plants reach a height of 84 to 105 cm, with a vegetation period of approximately 270 days. The ear is cylindrical, awned, of medium density, colored white or straw-yellow. Grain is large, red, of medium length and width, with protein content ranging from 14.08% to 15.69% and gluten content from 25.5% to 29%, indicating high grain quality.

The variety exhibits high yield potential, reaching up to 92 centners per hectare, with an average yield in the forest-steppe zone of about 59.3 centners per hectare (5.9 tons per hectare). Kosoch shows neutral photoperiod sensitivity and high resistance to stress factors and diseases: cold resistance is rated 9, drought resistance — 7, lodging resistance — 9, shattering resistance — 8, and resistance to major diseases — 7. The recommended seeding rate is 4.5 to 6 million germinating seeds per hectare.

Kosoch variety seeds are certified and meet standards for elite and first-generation reproduction, ensuring high quality. They are available for purchase in big bags and sacks. The seeds are not treated, allowing for further processing and sowing according to agronomic requirements.
