The hybrid corn ES COCKPIT is a medium-early variety with FAO 220-230, intended for grain production. It is included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem region and recommended for cultivation in the Polissya, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones. The plant is characterized by high stature, medium-wide slightly curved leaves, and a medium-length vegetation period of about 122 days. The grain has an intermediate type with a cream-toothed structure, the upper part of the kernel is yellow, and the lower part is yellow-orange. The kernel is cylindrical, medium thickness and length, with a high number of rows of kernels.
ES COCKPIT is characterized by high yield — average yield in the region is 81.5 c/ha, and maximum reached 133.5 c/ha. The hybrid is resistant to lodging and gray leaf spot, possesses high drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation using both intensive and extensive technologies. Recommended seeding density varies depending on the region: for the forest-steppe — 65-70 thousand seeds per hectare, for the steppe under irrigation — 85-95 thousand seeds per hectare.
ES COCKPIT seeds are supplied by Euralis Semences, one of the leading European seed producers. The hybrid is distinguished by stable yield and rapid moisture release, facilitating harvest. Despite high resistance to gray leaf spot and lodging, the hybrid is susceptible to stalk rot and more severely damaged by corn borer. It is recommended to plant at optimal time when the temperature is between +8 to +10 °C for best results.
