Maize ES COCKPIT

Practical insights on ЕС Кокпит hybrid

When planning the sowing season, the real value of a hybrid isn't found in brochures, but in how it handles the field during unpredictable weather. The French hybrid by Euralis Semences has proven to be a reliable choice for commercial grain production. Its flint-dent grain type provides the perfect balance between fast moisture loss at maturity and high grain density.

Field performance and plant health

With a maturity window of 120–140 days (FAO 90–1240), precise planning is key.

Planting density guidelines

Density must be adjusted based on soil potential and local moisture availability:

• Under intensive management and irrigation, aim for 85,000–90,000 plants/ha to fully maximize the yield potential.
• In more challenging soils or drought-prone areas, stick to 65,000–70,000 plants/ha. This helps reduce inter-plant competition for moisture, ensuring the development of a well-filled cob.

Working with this material is straightforward: it is highly responsive to sound agronomic practices and presents no issues during harvest. If you stick to the recommended density, this hybrid delivers consistent, reliable results that show up clearly on the yield monitor.
