Wheat Cubus

Premium German Genetics for Your Fields

The winter wheat variety 'Kubus' from KWS represents a reliable choice for farmers aiming for high-intensity crop management. Bred in Germany, this variety offers a unique combination of high yield potential (reaching 7 to 10 tons per hectare) and excellent field adaptability.

Strategic Disease Resistance

One of the main challenges in modern agronomy is managing the crop protection budget. 'Kubus' simplifies this by providing robust, built-in genetic resistance to the most common wheat pathogens, reducing the need for aggressive fungicide applications. The variety is specifically effective against:

• Root rots;
• Leaf rust;
• Fusarium head blight and powdery mildew.

By minimizing these risks, the variety ensures that the crop can focus its energy on grain filling rather than disease recovery.

Morphology and Yield Potential

With a medium plant height of 80–90 cm, 'Kubus' offers superior lodging resistance, even when high nitrogen rates are applied to boost productivity. With a growing season of 260–280 days, it fits perfectly into the harvesting schedule of a professional farm. The grain quality is consistent, featuring 25–30% gluten content and a Thousand Kernel Weight (TKW) of 40–45 grams, making it highly attractive for both local processing and export markets.

Practical Field Application

Agronomists prioritize 'Kubus' when they need to maximize output in intensive cropping systems. It is highly responsive to mineral fertilization and provides a stable performance even under variable weather conditions. This makes it a preferred solution for large-scale operations looking to achieve high-quality yields without compromising on plant health.
