Forteția

Forteția is a high-yield winter wheat variety intended for cultivation on high and medium agro-ecological zones, particularly in the Polissia and forest-steppe regions. It is characterized by a short stem and early maturity, enabling successful seeding in later periods without loss of yield. Plant height is 93–97 cm, and average 1000-grain weight varies from 40 to 43 grams. The awn is medium-sized, oval-shaped, and the grain is red.

The potential yield of Forteția reaches 83.0–110.0 c/ha (8.3–11.0 t/ha), making it attractive for intensive farming practices. The variety has high protein content — 13.5–14.0%, and gluten levels within 29–34%, resulting in high-quality flour with strength of 355–515 standard units. These characteristics make the grain suitable for producing high-quality bakery products.

Forteția exhibits high resistance to major stress factors and diseases. The variety demonstrates resistance to lodging, shattering, cold tolerance, and drought resistance at levels of 8–9 points, and resistance to major diseases at 7–9 points. This resistance contributes to stable high yields even under adverse weather conditions. The variety is produced by the company "Rost Agro" through elite reproduction, packaged in big-bags of 1 ton and 50 kg bags.
