Maize DN Akvozor

Stable yields for intensive farming

DN Akvozor is a Ukrainian-bred corn hybrid developed by the Institute of Grain Crops of the NAAS, specifically tailored for high-volume grain production. Featuring dent-type kernels and a FAO 240 rating, this hybrid fits perfectly into farm technological cycles that prioritize reliability under moderate climate conditions.

Agronomic Advantages

Field experience shows that DN Akvozor demonstrates high resistance to key phytopathogens and pests, allowing for a reduction in pesticide application rates:

• Phytosanitary control: The hybrid possesses genetic resistance to common smut and head smut, which is critical when planting in monocultures or regions with high infection pressure.
• Pest protection: A high threshold of resistance to the European corn borer allows farmers to save on insecticide treatments during the vegetation period.

Planting Recommendations and Density

Cultivation practices suggest adjusting plant density depending on moisture availability and the soil fertility level:

• Intensive management: A recommended density of 70,000–75,000 plants/ha ensures maximum yield potential of the cobs.
• Arid conditions or extensive technology: An optimal density of 45,000–50,000 plants/ha allows the plant to fully develop the grain by eliminating interspecific competition for soil moisture.

DN Akvozor is an ideal choice for farms seeking proven domestic genetics with a predictable maturation period (120–140 days) and stable grain output at harvest.
