Description Lukullus
Wheat variety Lukullus is a medium-early winter wheat variety characterized by high yield and excellent grain quality. This variety features high 1000-grain weight, high crude protein and gluten content, ensuring high bread volume and high grain quality. Lukullus belongs to quality class E (strong wheat) and has a high falling number, indicating its outstanding baking properties.

The variety exhibits good winter hardiness and resistance to major leaf and ear diseases, including high resistance to powdery mildew and Fusarium ear blight. High ear density and medium plant height (85-100 cm) contribute to stable yield formation. Yield potential ranges from 90 to 110 c/ha (8.0-10.0 t/ha), making Lukullus attractive for cultivation in the Polissya and forest-steppe regions.

Optimal sowing dates for variety Lukullus are from September 10 to 25, with a seeding rate of 3.5-4.0 million seeds per hectare; for late sowing from September 25 to October 5, the rate should be increased to 5.0 million seeds per hectare. The variety was developed and registered in 2014 by Saatbau Linz, confirming its modernity and adaptability to European agroclimatic conditions.
