BOHEMA is a variety of soft free-threshing winter wheat, a type of lutensce, registered in Ukraine in 2010. It is a mid-season variety of an intensive type with a vegetation period of 274-290 days and plant height of 95-105 cm. It belongs to tall wheats and is characterized by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for growing in various climatic conditions.
The BOHEMA variety is distinguished by high productivity and grain quality. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 43.5 to 51.3 g, protein content reaches 13.5%, and gluten content is 28%. Yields in enterprises usually amount to 80-90 ц/ha, while potential yield can exceed 100 ц/ha. To achieve maximum results, the application of complete mineral nutrition and the use of growth regulators is recommended, especially with intensive growing technologies, since the variety has average resistance to lodging.
BOHEMA has high resistance to major diseases such as Fusarium head blight, brown leaf rust, and powdery mildew. It tolerates both early and later sowing dates well, ensuring flexibility in agronomic practices. Recommended growing zones include Polesie, Forest Steppe, and Steppe of Ukraine, which confirms the versatility and adaptability of this variety to various soil and climatic conditions.
