Leaf 25 is a medium-early winter wheat variety with a vegetation period of 275-280 days, intended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. Plants are semi-dwarf, 65-85 cm tall, with high tillering and good response to mineral nutrition, ensuring high ecological adaptability of the variety. The thousand-grain weight is 40.5-45 g, protein content — 13.4-14.0%, gluten — 28.7-29.7%, indicating high grain quality and good baking properties.
The variety exhibits high resistance to adverse factors: cold resistance is rated at 8-9 points, drought resistance — 8-8.7 points, resistance to lodging and shattering — 8-9 points. In addition, Leaf 25 shows resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, root rots, gray mold, septoria, fusarium, and rust, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses.
Based on multi-year trials, the average yield of the variety is 64-66 ц/га, with potential up to 100-110 ц/га under optimal growing conditions. The grain of this variety exhibits high milling and baking characteristics: flour strength reaches 296-367 units, loaf volume from 100 g of flour — 1030-1100 ml, ensuring high overall bread quality. The variety is recommended for intensive cultivation techniques and is suitable for producing high-quality wheat products.
