Shhestopalivka — this is a high-yield winter wheat variety of Ukrainian selection, distinguished by excellent taste qualities and high ecological plasticity. Plants of this variety have a height of 80-90 cm, with oval, large, red-colored grain. The ear length is 10-12 cm, yellow in color. The weight of 1000 grains is approximately 40.5 grams. The vegetation period lasts 280-285 days, making this variety ultra-early maturing. The yield potential reaches 150 centners per hectare, although in real conditions, yield usually varies between 70-100 centners per hectare.
The Shhestopalivka variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, shattering, frost, as well as soil and air drought. It also has high winter hardiness and resistance to common diseases, especially scab and fusarium. Due to these properties, wheat adapts well to various ecological regions of Ukraine, including steppe, forest-steppe, and Polissia zones.
For optimal results, it is recommended to sow seeds at the end of the optimal sowing period. The variety is not demanding in cultivation conditions, with high crude protein content (12.9-14.8%) and gluten content (30-33%), positively affecting bread quality, which is rated at approximately 5.9 points. The sowing rate is 190-220 kg/ha. The producer is the private scientific-production association "BOR" (Ukraine).
