CHERNOZEMKA 115 is a soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety of intermediate maturity, intended for the production of high-quality grain, particularly valuable for the baking industry. Plants of this variety have medium height, reaching from 70 to 104 cm, with a cylindrical ear of medium density and white coloration. The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness, exceeding the average level, as well as resistance to lodging, which helps preserve the yield under unfavorable weather conditions. The weight of 1000 grains varies within 36-44 g, indicating sufficiently large and heavy grains. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Northwestern and Southwestern zones of the Kursk region, as well as the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions. Chernozemka 115 demonstrates high drought resistance, surpassing such varieties as Moskovskaya 70, Lygovskaya 4, and Odesskaya 267. In terms of disease resistance, the variety is moderately resistant to brown rust, highly resistant to yellow rust and powdery mildew, weakly susceptible to Fusarium head blight and loose smut, which ensures yield stability and reduces losses under unfavorable phytosanitary conditions. Studies in the Central Chernozemye showed that Chernozemka 115 is among the most productive and ecologically stable varieties of soft winter wheat, forming a yield of 6.04–6.86 t/ha. To increase the efficiency of grain production, it is recommended to use a system of complementary varieties, which allows optimizing yield and product quality. Thanks to its characteristics, Chernozemka 115 is a reliable choice for farmers seeking to obtain a stable and high-quality wheat harvest in various climatic conditions.
