CHERNOEZEMNOURALSKAYA 2 is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of medium maturity type with a vegetation period of 77-85 days, maturing 1-2 days later than the Darya variety. The plant is of medium height with an intermediate bush type and weakly developed straw. The ear is pyramidal, of medium density, white in color, with awn-like appendages of medium length and a slightly curved short tooth. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 33 to 41 grams, the grain is colored. The variety belongs to the lutescens type and is characterized by a high degree of adaptation to early spring drought and return of cold, as well as resistance to lodging and climatic endurance. CHERNOEZEMNOURALSKAYA 2 demonstrates high productivity and grain quality. Average yield in the Central Black Earth region is 23.9 c/ha, in the Lipetsk region - 37.4 c/ha, which is 6.5 c/ha higher than the Darya standard. Maximum yield indicators reached 48.1 c/ha in the Lipetsk region and 49.8 c/ha in the Kurgan region. Potential yield under optimal conditions can reach 66.5 c/ha. The variety has excellent baking qualities: protein content reaches 14.7%, gluten up to 34%, flour strength up to 317 units, and grain natural mass up to 816 g/l. In terms of disease resistance, CHERNOEZEMNOURALSKAYA 2 is moderately resistant to solid bunt, brown rust, and powdery mildew, moderately susceptible to powdery bunt and septoria, but susceptible to root rots. The variety is also resistant to hidden-stem pests. Thanks to its ecological plasticity and climatic endurance, as well as high plant survival and productive stem base, this variety is recommended for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatsky, Central Black Earth, and Middle Volga regions, including the Lipetsk region.
