TRISTAN is a variety of soft winter wheat, possessing high yield potential and adapted to various soil types and sowing periods. It belongs to medium-maturing and dwarf varieties, characterized by high winter and frost hardiness, as well as good drought and heat tolerance. TRISTAN is resistant to Ergot (races A-E), brown rust, powdery mildew, and loose smut, and also demonstrates tolerance to Fusarium, white and gray molds. Thanks to complex disease resistance and herbicide tolerance to the acetochlor group, the variety demonstrates yield stability and high productivity in various climatic conditions, except extremely arid ones.
The variety is characterized by good regenerative ability, tillering ability, and is not prone to shattering or grain sprouting on the root. TRISTAN is recommended for cultivation using zero and minimum tillage technologies, and requires adherence to crop rotation to maintain crop health. Protein content in the grain is about 13.2%, gluten content is 26.2%, which ensures good baking qualities. High oil content (up to 50%) additionally increases the value of the grain.
The variety is successfully cultivated in various regions, including the North Caucasus and Lower Volga, where average yield reaches 51.8 c/ha and 26.9 c/ha respectively. TRISTAN is characterized by plasticity regarding sowing dates and performs well after stubble predecessors. Its high drought tolerance and tolerance to Sclerotinia make this variety a reliable choice for extensive farming with stable and consistent yields.
