Fidelius is an early-maturing winter wheat variety of intensive type, characterized by high yield and excellent grain quality. It belongs to the glumeless varieties with dense, multi-seeded ears and low stem, ensuring resistance to lodging and ease of harvesting. The variety has genetically enhanced resistance to powdery mildew, Fusarium ear blight, as well as moderate resistance to brown leaf rust and grain shattering. Due to these traits, Fidelius demonstrates stable yields of 6-8 tons per hectare, corresponding to the potential of 80-100 c/ha. Fidelius has good winter hardiness and high thousand-grain weight (38-42 g), which facilitates its successful cultivation under various climatic conditions, especially in western and northern regions. The vegetation period of the variety is 269-278 days, and plant height reaches 95-100 cm. Protein content in the grain ranges from 14.0-14.8 %, and crude gluten content from 29.8-34.6 %, ensuring high baking properties rated at 8.5 points. Drought resistance and resistance to lodging, grain shattering, and diseases are rated 7-9 points, making the variety a reliable choice for intensive farming technologies. The Fidelius variety quickly clears the field after harvest, enabling efficient preparation for the next sowing season or organizing a second harvest. Recommended sowing dates are from September 20 to October 10 with a rate of 150-180 kg per hectare; for later sowing, the seeding rate should be increased by 10 %. To enhance productivity under intensive cultivation, agronomists recommend using plant growth regulators. Due to its combination of early maturity, disease resistance, and high technological properties, Fidelius is a promising variety for modern agricultural enterprises.
